Invasion of the Blood Farmers

Invasion of the Blood Farmers is a movie that never escapes the "it's so bad it's just bad" category to even dream about being so bad that it's good. In this movie something strange is going on in upstate New York, and we don't mean a Harvard educated quarterback is starting for the Buffalo Bills. Four words and four pictures sum it up.

They're aliens. Amish aliens. Amish aliens who...

are also Druids. Druids who...

Harvest blood. That's the plot.

"I believe you have my stapler."

It's dumb. It's bad, But...

Awesome movie poster.

Invasion of the Blood Farmers is a 1972 exploitation horror film directed by Ed Adlum and written by Adlum and Ed Kelleher. Although it contains some gore scenes, the film was rated PG by the MPAA.

Update: Ryan Fitzpatrick beat me in fantasy football to knock my rather crappy team out of the playoffs, but still, when you get knocked out of the fantasy playoff by Ryan Fitzpatrick you got troubles. After further review I decided not to recommend this movie even to people who understand the whole so bad it's good genre because it's just boring.

January 25, 2015: Once again, I rarely take the time to blog about movies I didn't enjoy watching, but in retrospect I really looked for this movie for a long time, and had high expectations of at least coming away from it with a WTF experience. But it wasn't even WTF were they thinking bad. I didn't get it. And yet I still hanker for the movie poster. Maybe I should give it a second chance.
